One thing that is always exciting to us is thinking about what design trends we are seeing! Even if you aren’t a designer, you can still take a peek and get ideas for your branding. We will be talking more trends in the next few weeks, but the first one we are going to tackle is our current obsession:

THE BLENDING OF HARD AND SOFT LINES

We started noticing this trend on a few Adobe products. Here is an example from Photoshop. We LOVE the effect that the soft lines of the bird’s feathers/clouds. It looks stunning next to their legs’ hard lines, and the billowing effect of the pink gives it so much depth.

Here is a social media post we created with this effect. Just doing a little blending can make an image so much more interesting!

Below is a before and after of how you can use this effect more subltly to upgrade an image.

We took the stock photo and added in a few more hard and soft lines. This winter wonderland now looks much more magical and unique!
